An Autopsy and Toxicological findings from a Privately owned ROAR Forensics lab in the UK says that Cerina Nebanda died of Alcohol, Cocaine, Morphine, Codeine, Chloroquine, Cocaethlene and dextromethorphan. Government Director General Health Services Jane Achieng said these were significant toxins detected in Nebanda’s urine, Post-moterm blood and stomach. However two of these toxins are restricted. Morphine and Codeine are administered to treat both acute and chronic severe pain. CID Boss Grace Akullo was also present and privately chipped in to explain medical issues.

However, the family of the fallen Butaleja MP Cerinah Nebanda had said they would not accept the Governemnt autopsy report. They asked the Government to hire international detectives for investigations to establish what caused her death.

“We call upon the Government to engage the services of independent and internationally recognized investigators like Scotland Yard as it is normally the way forward in such high profile crimes,” the family said in a statement signed by Fred Mukasa on Wednesday.

The call came after the Government sent Nebanda body samples to United Kingdom for further forensic investigation.

Earlier on Police made public pronouncements that the late MP could have been killed by alcohol and drug overdose immediately after her death and before postmortem was done.
