Kampala Central MP Mohammad Nsereko is scheduled to address the public in Mbale town together with other over 18 members of parliament. The Kampala Central MP; Hon Mohamed Nsereko was released from jail on bail this morning after spending more than 216 hours in detention.
The MPs say they have organized the rally in Mbale; a major town in Eastern Uganda, as a way of celebrating the release of MP Nsereko and strengthening the struggle for change in Uganda.
The rally is spearheaded by the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament; Nandala Mafabi who was also one of Nsereko’s sureties. A fleet of over 60 vehicles have left Tororo district and are heading to Mbale town.
From Mbale the MPs intend to make several stopovers addressing people in the Eastern region.
Meanwhile, Dr Sylvester Onzivua, who was released together with Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, by the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, on Friday has apologied to President Museveni. The two doctors were charged with conspiracy to commit a felony when they allegedly conspired to unlawfully obtain body samples of the late Butaleja Woman MP Cerinah Nebanda. Dr Onzivua was separately charged with abuse
